If given the chance, I will combine the whole concept of MUM (who can always miraculously find your lost clothes) and a fashion consultant into one.
For the fairer sex, one of the biggest problems they face is dressing up. They have too many clothes – to the extent they can’t remember which clothes they have. Sometimes, they misplace their clothes. In addition, they are in a constant quest for second opinions when putting on a new style. The difficult issue is that at times there is no one in close proximity for them to seek fashion advice. =(
So I think if we could combine Siri and the technology of RFID, it would nip the problem in the bud.
Every piece of dress and accessory will be encoded in an RFID tag. And in each vital place etc. washing machine, walk-in wardrobe, living room, bedroom, toilet etc. there would be a RFID reader. This would allow them to locate the position of the clothing.
Upon input of the dress design in a Smart phone e.g I-phone, the java application in it should connect to the central server (the personal lap-top) to trace the location. This information can then be transmitted to the device via Blue-tooth.
For a more interactive experience, we can also make use of artificial intelligence such as SIRI to give suggestions on the different combinations of clothes. Upon suiting up, SIRI should also be able to give constructive feedback such as “Pink makes you look fat.” “This is inappropriate for a formal event. Please do not dress provocatively.”
Both technology are currently in existence and should be relatively feasible with a little bit of tinkering of the programming on the parts of the computer scientists.
Who would have thought of this new equation?
SIRI + RFID = fashion with a twist.
