At this rate, I might really fall for him. If he were Chinese and lived in the city instead, it would have been perfect. But, then it wouldn't be that romantick.
He would have used FB to message me instead. And it wouldn't look that much a big deal. He would be able to skype me. His efforts to reach out wouldn't be magnified and he would be just like one of the other boys.
Sigh...one gotcha go...
Actually, when he messaged back, I was pretty sure it wasn't ecov people because of the way he spelled his name. We sort of pronounced it as a "Malay-Cheena" way and so we spelled it according to how we pronounced it. But yea, in the sms, he replied his name as the traditional way. I sort of caught at the side of my eye when my translator wrote S name.
And last night he called using another number (I think is his friend's), and I did hesitate before picking it up. But I wanted to know who is at the side of the line.
Actually I couldn't confirm whether it is him at first. Cos we never really had a proper conversation technically. And I assumed his English wasn't very good. And the shocking thing is his English was not as bad as what I presumed to be. Yala, to be able to work there, his English shouldn't be that bad. Maybe he just shy then, don't want to communicate with us?
But when he chuckled, it does sound like him. And then, we share an awkward hahaha...I would say, after that, I talked to him more normally and not like a city bitch interrogating a criminal. I had to make sure it is not his friends or anything what... But to prank overseas, is damn stupid (for them).
It was nothing long (he did tell me his sim card doesn't have that much money) and the first half was pretty awkward. But it was quite sweet?!?For a guy to call...so far away...and waste his money on me...when he can spend it on something better and more meaningful (like tomorrow's lunch)I think I am supposed to call back according to the social protocol but... .... ...if I call back...what does it means?
I left him my email so he has a cheaper alternative to contact me if he wants to...lor... I don't think I will be contacting him anytime in the near future. I will be busy and giving people false hope is not right. Even though I think I might be fond of him, but I don't really think this is the romance I am looking for.And maybe, he is a novelty, and when it wears off, I might just drop him like last year's fashion. It is quite mean for me to do that to him.
