Once I start, I just can't stop. Sims Medieval is just hell addictive.
10 Reasons why people love Sims:
1. You can create the perfect love story, the perfect life you always wanted. There is no such things as rejections etc. Your character always end up with the most flawless partner with prefect, beautiful children. (If they aren't perfect, kill them, send them away whatever)
2. You know everything will always turn out fine. It's just how long it takes. (That's not exactly true in real life.)
3. You can play God. You can force people to come together and break them apart. This power is something that you will never have in real life, so it's kinda fun manipulating characters.
4. Sims is somewhat a virtual "Jia Jia Jiu" which I adored playing. Yea, my likes and interests don't change much. I am an extremely boring and monotonous person. LOL!
5. You know what your characters want. You know what their goals are. But life in reality is just pure confusing and frustrating. There are too many unknowns, too many routes to get there and sometimes even the "quest" in life can change. Too many variations.
6. Sims = perfect control of your own destiny. Best of all, you have full information on your opponent. If your level is high, you can probably slay any one that cross your path or cross the line. In this game called life, there are underdogs and you don't really know what your level is.
7. As superficial as it may sounds, Sims reflect life in some way or another. To have a more positive relationship, you are supposed to do nice stuff and say nice things. Compliments are fine but if insincere, it is just plain disgusting and painful to watch. Criticisms in Sims just make you lose a friend and yea that is what happens in reality too. Sometimes we really forget it is those who care that bothers to tell you about your flaws. And you unfriend them. So sad, isn't it? We get rid of people who care and surround ourselves with "friends" simply because we yearn to hear nice things and words of affirmation.
8. You can do stupid stuff in Sims and still be given a chance to ratify your mistakes. A luxury many of us don't have.
9. It is mindless and does not require much thinking. A game that could be played simply based on experimentation.
10. It is a one-player game. Good in a sense because sometimes you really need time on your own without people telling you "i told ya so".
